  • Intro:

Number three seed Agnieszka Radwanska has been knocked-out of the Apia International Sydney following a 3-6, 7-6, 6-2 loss to Garbine Muguruza on Tuesday (13 January).

    Script:

Fresh off the back of her Hopman Cup success, Agnieszka Radwanska was looking to maintain her winning form against Spain's Garbine Muguruza in the second round of the Apia International Sydney.

The Polish number three seed started brightly, taking the first set 6-3.

But she started to fade in the second and after an exchange of breaks - Muguruza prevailed in a tiebreak.

With Radwanska tiring, the Spainiard took full advantage, storming to victory by taking the third set 6-2.

She sealed the win with an ace.

It's Muguruza's sixth triumph over a top-ten opponent - and her first win over Radwanksa.
