"Football began to worry us - and also FIFA and CBF (Brazilian FA) - because of the possibility of the excess of games affecting the quality of the pitch. The first part of the Olympic Football tournament we will have two games everyday. So this affects the pitch. Pitches are not used for so many matches in a sequence. So, in order to make sure that we can offer the best quality of pitch possible, we began working with FIFA and CBF to see the possibility of: a - Having another football city and b - having one or two extra stadiums."

"I agree with the British who enjoyed Manaus. Manaus is a great city and the Amazon is such an amazing place. But here the criteria has to be the quality of the pitch. Obviously Manaus has an excellent stadium, first class. And they could be a possibility. I think it's logical that we are going to look first and foremost to stadiums that have been approved by FIFA and used in the last World Cup, because these are brand-new world class venues."

"We are obviously very shocked, very sad on the events that took place in Paris. Our prayers and thoughts are always with the families of those affected. It's very shocking indeed. We rather not talk too much. But we want to make sure that everybody here is, you know, we are thinking a lot on the families and we are really, really sad by this tragedy."
