    A bronze plaque commemorating the life of the late Phillip Hughes has been installed at the Sydney Cricket Ground ahead of Australia's fourth test against India.

    Australian captain Steve Smith says emotions will be running high at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

    "Hughesy was one of us and he was one of our good mates so I think particularly this week it's going to be good to walk past that and see the little fella there and give us a bit of inspiration as we're going out on the field."

    The same field, where Hughes was fatally injured.

    The bronze plaque is now a permanent fixture.

    It highlights the 25-year-old's career achievements.

    India captain Virat Kohli.

    "As the game starts hopefully we can not think about it and get on with the sport which the two teams have done really well in this series."

    Australia lead the series 2-nil despite injury forcing inspirational captain Michael Clarke out.

    MS Dhoni, India's former captain, has also bowed out during the series.

    "The vision has to be collective. It has to be one goal all together for the 11 guys, the whole squad for that matter, in the test match format."
