"Well I think coming into this tournament it's one of the toughest fields in the three tournaments that are going on around the globe for the women's tour. You always want to start off with the toughest competition, this is a tournament I love coming back to. I have tried to play for many years but it was my first time on court last year so great to be back, I had a wonderful experience. I'm looking forward to getting the year started on a good note."

"As usual I went to Florida, I trained there for four weeks and we went home for Christmas and it was really nice, I do it every year. The pre-season we worked really hard so I wish I could show it on the court."
