Rafael Nadal pays a New Year's Day visit to the Abu Dhabi Destination Village before the all-female Team SCA win Friday's Volvo Ocean Race in-port race in Abu Dhabi.

"For me it's a great opportunity and a fantastic experience to be here with all the crew, knowing the people is fantastic people around the boat and I know little bit about boats, I love the sea, I am from an island, I am from Mallorca so my life is very involved in the sea. So it's a pleasure to be here, I wish to everybody the best of luck. I know the second race was much better than the first one so I hope things continue in that way improving every time and I wish the best to everybody."

"It was really good for us on the water and, well we said, our coaches said we had to do what we did on the practice race and we did exactly that, so we were quite happy. So we've done only, only first places since we got here in Abu Dhabi, so we're quite happy and it's a great way to.... to boost the whole crew morale before we leave tomorrow for Sanya (in China)."
