SOUNDBITE (English): Garry Monk, Swansea City manager:

"We had some good situations, some good chances, and yes, we should be more clinical with them but I thought we defended extremely well. I can't really remember Hull having any clear-cut chances on our goal. It does make it difficult - if you have that second-goal lead it does make it more comfortable but we didn't. But I think we showed the other side again, we've done that a few times this season, where we've been very resilient. Everyone, commitment and effort-wise, was fantastic, and in a difficult place to come. It was never going to be free-flowing football against a team that were desperate for the points as well. Thankfully a clean sheet -- one-nil -- and we deserved the win."

SOUNDBITE (English): Steve Bruce, Hull City manager:

"I wouldn't blame it to luck, the second half in particular, I wouldn't say it was for the lack of effort, but the longer it went (on) unfortunately, the worse we got. I didn't think there was anything in it in the first half, the goal is something we require at the moment, something like that to change us round a bit. But simply, I mean, today has just highlighted for me the need for your big players - I don't want to make excuses - and I still expect a better performance than what we witnessed, especially second half, but it was crying out for some of your big players who unfortunately, whether they are suspended or injured, we simply couldn't cope without them. In games which are difficult, you need your big Premier League-experienced players and unfortunately we were without too many today."
