  • Intro:

Early line ups for the semi finals of the BWF World Superseries Finals are decided in Dubai on Friday.

    Script:

Both Akane Yamaguchi and Tzu Ying Tai were already assured of a semi final place heading into their Group B match on Friday.

But that didn't stop the pair producing an entertaining final group match.

Taiwan's Tai looked to be on track to finish top of their group as she took the first game 21-19.

But the Japanese teenager had other ideas - storming to the next two games 21-14, 21-17 to take the victory.

In the men's doubles, world champion pair Sung Hyun Ko and Baek Choel Shin of Korea took on China's Biao Chai and Wei Hong in their final Group A encounter.

The Koreans got off to a bright start, winning the first game 21-15.

But Chai and Hong turned the match around by taking the next two games 21-15 and 21-17.

The Chinese duo topping Group A with two wins out of two - whilst defeat means Ko and Shin aren't involved in the weekend action.

Instead it is their compatriots Yong Dae Lee and Yeon Seong Yoo who make it through to the last four.
