Thailand's prayers to end a twelve year AFF Suzuki Cup title drought may soon be answered.

After beating Malaysia 2-0 in the first leg of their final on Wednesday in Bangkok, the War Elephants are well placed to claim their first Southeast Asian championship since 2002 when they kickoff the away leg on Saturday night in Kuala Lumpur.

Head coach Kiatisuk "Zico" Senamuang ran his squad through its final training session on Friday at Bukit Jalil National Stadium, which is expected to be sold out for the match.

Zico will be looking to become the first man to win an ASEAN title as both a player and a head coach.

He starred on the Thailand team that defeated Malaysia in the inaugural 1996 tournament when it was known as the Tiger Cup.

If Thailand win, it will be their fourth AFF championship title, tying Singapore for the most by a single nation.
