  • Intro:

Atletico de Kolkata beat FC Goa 4-2 on penalties after the sides drew 0-0 in the Indian Super League semi-final second leg at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

    Script:

After a goalless draw in the first leg, it was all to play for between Goa and Atletico de Kolkata in the semi-final of the Indian Super League.

In the 11th minute, Kolkaka came close, a fierce strike from Sanju Pradhan just a tad too high.

Nine minutes later there as a chance at the other end, a glancing header Goa captain Grégory Arnolin kept out by Apoula Edel.

The chances dried up though, and the sides could only be separated by the ISL's first ever penalty shootout.

Andre Santos missed Goa's first and then Zohib Amiri did this with their third. Painful for the home supporters, there was nothing Zico could do now either. Borja Fernandez sealed it with an emphatic finish. And so Atletico de Kolkata go through to meet Kerala Blasters in Saturday's final.
