Ex-girlfriend describes 'attack' by NASCAR's Busch

Thursday, December 18 2014 by SNTV
  • Intro:

NASCAR driver Kurt Busch's ex-girlfriend, Patricia Driscoll, delivers an emotional testimony in a Delaware courtroom, seeking an order that Busch stay away from her following an alleged assault.

    Script:

The ex-girlfriend of Kurt Busch sobbed in court on Tuesday as she described how the NASCAR champion allegedly smashed her head into a wall three times in September.

Patricia Driscoll is asking a judge in Dover, Delaware, America, to grant a protection order against Busch, saying that she fears for her safety.

The 36-year-old says Busch 'snapped' and attacked her after hurling insults at her in their motorhome at Dover International Speedway because he was furious about his performance in a race.

Driscoll didn't call police to report the alleged attack until the 8th of November -- six weeks after the alleged incident.

Busch has emphatically denied Driscoll's allegations and said she is trying to exact revenge against him after he ended their relationship.

His attorneys described her as untrustworthy and 'extremely mercenary'.

The hearing is set to continue on Wednesday.
