Olympiakos continued their slightly stuttering title defence against Panionios on Wednesday, they came with their own thoughts of staying clear of the relegation zone.

And it was the away side who tested a goalkeeper first, Olivier Boumale firing low across Roberto Jimenez.

The champions took the lead in the 36th minute, Kostas Mitroglou anticipating and nodding in at the far post. Dimitrios Siovas had started on the bench but he got the crucial flick on.
