Malaysia will be looking to continue their shock run through the 2014 AFF Suzuki Cup when they face favourites Thailand in Bangkok in the first leg of the final on Wednesday (Dec 17).

Malaysia haven't won in Bangkok since 2004.

However, they ended a 12-year road losing streak to rivals Singapore by winning their Group B decider 3-1 to advance to the semifinals.

They then upset the Vietnamese in the semi-final in Hanoi to clinch a spot in the final.

It was the first time since 1991 Malaysia had defeated Vietnam on away soil.

And despite Thailand being unbeaten in this year's tournament, the Malaysian coach Dollah Salleh remains confident of yet another upset....

SOUNDBITE: (English) Dollah Salleh, Malaysian Coach:

"Hopefully we can do the same thing. Actually, I myself didn't expect that we could play very well in Vietnam. For almost 23 years we have't beaten Vietnam in Vietnam, so it's a good sign anyway. Hopefully this thing we can bring forward to play against Thai."
