Script:
A tense wait in the club house for Englishman Lee Westwood.
He finished the Thailand Golf Championship at eight under after finding his rhytm in the final round.
The 41-year-old going from third to first, courtesy of seven birdies.
But victory was dependent on whether overnight leader Marcus Fraser could surpass his target.
The Australian pulled his par putt on the 18th though and had to settle for seven under.
His playing partner Martin Kaymer was also in contention.
But the German missed a difficult par putt on the 17th to drop to seven-under, handing Westwood his second Thailand Golf Championship.
SOUNDBITE: Lee Westwood, Thailand Golf Championship winner
"Today was just what I needed really. You know I was in contention and I needed to shoot a good score to finish off my year. I didn't get off to the best of starts, bogey in the first two holes, but played some really good shots after that."
It's Westwood's 14th career win in Asia.
The consolation prize for the runners-up - they've now qualified for the next year's Open Championship at St Andrews.
