Greg Chalmers made par on the seventh hole of a playoff while Adam Scott three-putted for bogey to give the Australian lefthander his second Australian PGA championship on Sunday (14 December).

    Script:

The final day of the Australian PGA Championship on the Gold Coast.

After 18 holes, three players were tied for the lead at 11-under.

It meant a three-way playoff between former champion Greg Chalmers.

Wade Ormsby after his birdie on the final hole.

    And defending champion Adam Scott.

Ormsby was eliminated on the third playoff hole.

Scott needed to sink this putt to stay in contention.

The next three playoff holes, saw pars from both Scott and Chalmers.

But on the seventh, Scott missed.

Chalmers then had a chance to take the win.

SOUNDBITE: Greg Chalmers, Australian PGA Championship winner

"It's just phenomenal, I'm worn out. I don't know Adam must have been bored just driving it down to the middle on the last hole all the time, I was all over the place, but I'm really excited and really thrilled."

It's the 41-year-old's second Australian PGA Championship.

The seven-hole playoff, the longest in the country's tier-one history.
