"I've had my scans, the scans are not great. It's certainly shown a tear there. The experts are looking at them at the moment. I can pretty confidently say that I won't take part in this test series unfortunately and then I'll wait on the experts advice and opinions on what I need to do to be able to get back out onto the park."

"I don't have one regret. This is the most important Test match of my career. Wouldn't change a thing."

"Well there's a chance I could never play again. I hope that's not the case and I'll be doing everything in my power to get back out onto the park but I think I've got to be realistic as well."

    SOUNDBITE: Michael Clarke, Australia Captain

"This series is even closer to our hearts and obviously this Test match is one that we'll remember and cherish for the rest of our careers."

    SOUNDBITE: Michael Clarke, Australia Captain

"Winning games of cricket are based on skill not emotion but when you get the result your after I think that's probably when you see more emotions come out hence the celebrations after we just took that last wicket and the boys are pretty emotional in the change room right now."

SOUNDBITE: Michael Clarke, Australia Captain (on Nathan Lyons being awarded man-of-the-match)

"He is a match winner, he's shown that in the past. Anybody that has the skill to take wickets in the first innings of the Test match and is a spinner can certainly do it in the second innings and he deserves a lot of credit."
