SOUNDBITE: (English) Arsene Wenger, Arsenal manager:
"We can score goals, we've shown that again tonight and overall it was a dynamic.... game where defensively, despite the fact that we were depleted at the back, we were quite solid.... and, going forward we looked always dangerous, and in the end we won in a convincing way. We scored four goals, that was of course needed. The response was strong after the Stoke game and, let's go well over Christmas."
SOUNDBITE: (English) Alan Pardew, Newcastle United manager:
"I still felt, even at 3-1, the game was in the balance. If we could have scored a second goal, we had half a chance, I just felt that the demons might return from Anderlecht or before, but we couldn't get ourselves in that position, and perhaps didn't deserve to actually, but, the one thing the characteristic of the team, that I really like about this particular side is we don't give up, and we didn't give up today. Even though we wasn't playing at our best, we still tried to achieve something in the game."
