Hot and humid conditions awaited the players as the second round of the Alfred Dunhill Championship got underway in South Africa on Friday.

Charl Schwartzel is now a long was back in his attempt to win the tournament for a third successive year.

His round of 70 leaves him with surely too much ground to make up.

Danny Willett, a European Tour winner just last week, was in strong form once more.

His round of 69 takes him to nine-under-par overall and seven shots off the lead

Danish golfer Lucas Bjerregaard, in just his second year on tour, is level with Willetts at nine-under-par.

Italian Francesco Molinari is the closest challenger to halfway leader.

An incredible putting performance saw him power up the leaderboard

He reached the club house in 65 to sit at 11-under-par.

But the man out in front is Branden Grace.

While unable to match his superb opening day effort of 62, he carded a highly consistent 66 to lie at 16-under-par overall, five shots ahead of the chasing pack.
