SOUNDBITE (Mandarin) Ren Hongguo, vice Chairman, Chinese Skiing Association:
"This event is significant as it will take place whilst Beijing and Zhangjiakou are proactively bidding for the 2022 Winter Olympic Games. The success of this event will add an impressive touch to our Olympic bid."

SOUNDBITE (Mandarin) Ren Hongguo, vice Chairman, Chinese Skiing Association:

"I think China is capable of hosting an event independently. We not only have good skating facilities in Beijing, we also have good skiing facilities in Zhangjiakou and Yanqing. We have finished our investigation and verification process. China is fully capable of hosting a very good Olympics. I have not heard anything about co-hosting so far."
