"It's been the most challenging mentally the last couple of days, that I've had to go through in my career, to be honest, after seeing what happened over the last week, trying to process everything that happened."
The Australian side are still mourning the loss of team-mate Phillip Hughes, who died after being hit by a ball during a first class domestic cricket game.
All-rounder Shane Watson was on the field that day, tragedy struck.

"I think this has been probably as an important four day lead up to a test match than I've ever been involved in because there's a lot of inner demons that we've had to find our way through. But from a test perspective, there's no doubt that once we get out there in front of a great crowd and at such a great ground here in Adelaide, everyone's competitive juices will be up and running, especially playing against India as well, we've got a lot to give back to them after they nailed us during the last test series we played in India."
And despite the circumstances surrounding Hughes' death, Watson says Australia will continue to play aggressively.
SOUNDBITE: (English) Shane Watson, Australia all-rounder:
"Look, we've played out best cricket when we are aggressive and that's ever since I've been in and around the Australian cricket team. It's been when we are aggressive, with bat and ball, but especially with the ball, like we were during the last Ashes, as well. So, there's no doubt that that's not going to change 'cause that's when we're at our absolute best."
