It was mixed fortunes for Germany at the Track World Cup in London on Friday.

They claimed gold in the men's team sprint after seeing off Australia's Team Jayco-Ais in the final.

But the reigning world Champions in the women's sprint couldn't do the same in their final.

Kristina Vogel and Miriam Welte thought they'd won, before their times were calibrated and Zhong and Gong of China were awarded the win by just 14-thousandths of a second.

Hosts Great Britain were heavy favourites in the women's team pursuit final.

The British team haven't lost in a women's team pursuit event since December 2010, and continued their dominance at the Olympic Park velodrome as they faced old rivals Australia.

All that was left was for the men to completed a team pursuit double as they eased to victory over New Zealand by nearly five seconds.

    Denmark finished third.
