Lewis Hamilton reflected on his world championship glory as he prepared to take his award at the FIA Prize Giving ceremony in Doha, Qatar on Friday.

"I don't think you ever want to have it easy. You always want to have a fight. Easy championships won - I don't know, they are just not as, that climax, you want that climax. Obviously in the last race it was a climax going into the last race - obviously Nico's car it had an issue, so it wasn't from halfway through the race the pressure was different from having to defend in the race. But still, throughout the year trying to keep your cool, stay focussed and all those kind of things. It was great you know and I am just grateful for the opportunity to have had, these championships that I have, and this one definitely feels sweeter than the first but I guess that's just because I'm older and what I've gone through to get to this one and the decisions that I have taken and all those kinds of things. For the next one, if there is another one, at least the championships that I am going into I am going to fight as hard as possible and try and work and improve on things that are not strong enough and could be better. But overall it has been an incredible year and I have been incredibly blessed to have a great team around me."
