  • Intro:

Norway's Kjetil Jansrud won his third straight race on Friday in the World Cup downhill at Birds of Prey in Beaver Creek.

    Script:

America's Steven Nymen hadn't been on a podium for two years but that was to change with this run at Beaver Creek. He came down the slope in this

World Cup event in one minute, forty point seven three seconds to take the lead.

The locals enjoyed that and Norway's Kjetil Jansrud was slightly behind after his first sector but then he picked up the pace, travelling at 118.7 kilometres per hour he stormed in front, and beat Nyman by over half a second. It's three wins in a row for him now.

SOUNDBITE (English) Kjetil Jansrud (on three successive wins):

"It's amazing. It's not something you see a lot of. But, I'll get up every morning and try to do for that win and we'll see. Another day tomorrow, new chances."

Switzerland's Beat Feuz also came in ahead of Nymen but only just, two one hundedths of a second faster to nick second place. It's Italy next, where Jansrud will be hoping to make it four in a row.
