Victory Team are World Champions for a 14th time. They won the final race of the Powerboat World Championships in Dubai, it was their fifth race win of the season and they crossed the finishing line 54.42 seconds ahead of second-placed Team Abu Dhabi.

Driver Arif Saif Al Zaffain and throttleman Nadir Bin Hendi were never in trouble once they saw off the competition after the first turn.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Arif Saif Al Zaffain, Vicotry Team driver

"Really today I am happy because it's not rough and when I test with my friend Nadir (Bin Hendi) today I think I chose a good set-up, I tried to, same as our plan, to start to push at the first buoy, then I reached the first buoy and then I continue with our position."

In V1, Bernico-New Star’s Belgium team of Nico Bertels and Frank Hemelaer won the final race of the season, fourth place for race 1 winners Aaron Ciantar and Dominique Martini in Chaudron was good enough to seal the V1 World Championship, not a spectacular way to do it but you don't imagine they'll mind too much.
