Friday, December 05 2014 by SNTV
  • Intro:

The unnamed mascots for the Olympic and Paralympic Games joined 150 children at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro.

    Script:

The mascots for the Olympic and Paralympic Games at Rio's Maracana stadium. Neither of them have a name yet but that will change soon as a public vote is underway to decide what they will be called. The choice is Oba and Eba, Tiba Tuque and Esquindim or Vinicius and Tom. This yellow cat-like figure is the

Olympic mascot and the green thing with the hair is for the Paralympics.
They were joined at the stadium by 150 school children from the city who got to vote on the names. This girl said they so beautiful, so sweet, and I chose the name Vinicius.

From beautiful mascots, thoughts here quickly turn to the beautiful game.

In this ground, indeed in this country football is not far from peoples minds and some of the children sent a message to Pele who is in hospital recovering from a Urinary Tract infection, this boy said get better I want you back soon. You still are the best (player) in the world.

The best athletes in the World will arrive here in 2016, expect to see a lot more of these two before then.
