"It was a nice year last year to come here on great form and play some really good stuff. Coming in with a little bit of a different set-up this year but it's a been a bit slow since the Ryder Cup but that's the way it is. That was the main focus of 2014 and it's just gone a little bit off the boil but once the gun goes you never know if all those memories come back to you and you can go out and enjoy a good tournament but as a place it's a brilliant place to be."

"It's such a big tournament and I think a lot of people probably don't realise how big this tournament is and how well it sits with the players. When you start looking at who's won it and who's played here over the years every single person that you can remember being anything in the game of golf has come here and played in this tournament so it has a lot of history and it has a lot of things with it that sits really well with the players and it's one that, as a player, you would really, really like to win."

"You know, the rough's not that bad this year. It's patchy but I think it would get probably on the weekend it'll get a bit thicker. They're not going to cut the rough from now on in so with this heat it grows pretty quickly so...No, it's good. There's a lot of five woods for me off the tees. I'm driving it well so I think if you drive it well around here with the length the golf ball goes you can make the golf course quite a bit shorter."
