SOUNDBITE (English) Alan Pardew, Newcastle United manager:

"We've had a terrible run of injuries and keep the winning run going, so it's testament to the squad - and the players have been phenomenal in this spell. And even on the training ground this week it's really difficult to calm them down, they're really on fire and they're enjoying their football, and you can see it. So we should be in a good place for Saturday."

SOUNDBITE (English) Alan Pardew, Newcastle United manager: (On recent run of wins).

"Well, I think... it has surprised me in terms of some of the football we've played. We've been really consistent, really strong defensively, not really giving too much away, and a threat at almost any moment in the game. And hopefully we can keep it continued, but this is a tough place to go. You know, I used to be manager at West Ham, I know that stadium better than most - and (it will be a) tremendous atmosphere on Saturday. They're just below us, one point. They're on a great run themselves. Probably the best transfers in the summer I thought, West Ham's - they've took the team forward massively. And they're in a very, very strong position this season... and it will make for a really good game."

SOUNDBITE (English) Alan Pardew, Newcastle United manager:

"I don't think it's happened since 1995 at this football club - seven wins... and that's a long, long time ago for a club of this magnitude. So it's a great target for us, but West Ham are going to have a lot to say about that."
