Three goals saw Goa beat Kerala Blasters 3-0 on Wednesday (26th November) to move up to third in the Indian Super League table

    Script:

Third took on fourth in the Indian Super League when Goa hosted Kerala.

The hosts dominated the first half and but for some poor finishing, would have been in total control by half-time.

Tolgay Ozbey had the best chance of the half but sent his effort clattering off the post before Andre Santos's effort was brilliantly saved by David James.

But Goa did eventually take the lead in the 63rd minute when Miroslave Slepicka slotted home at the back post from a Santos free kick.

The goal seemed to spur the hosts on and they stretched further ahead six minutes later.

Santos was the scorer this time from close range,

They then put the match firmly out of Kerala's reach ten minutes from time.

A superb move caught out the defence and James will feel he could have done better to deny Slepicka his second and Goa's third.

His attempt to kick the post in frustration then ended in embarrassment, his foot became caught up in the net, and caused him to fall over.

With stoppage time fast approaching, Kerala threatened to pull one back but while the free kick from Stephen Pearson was close, it was eventually cleared over bar.

Goa held on for the 3-0 win and move ahead of Kerala on goal difference.
