Intro:
Singapore beat their old coach Raddy Avramovic's Myanmar 4-2 in AFF Suzuki Cup Group B at the Singapore Sports Hub.
Script:
When Singapore won the Suzuki Cup in 2012, they were coached by Raddy Avramovic, he's now in charge of Myanmar and so there was an added edge when these sides met in an already crucial match in Group B.
The defending champions were a point behind Myanmar after losing their first match to Thailand but they were in front here inside the first 15 minutes.
Shaiful Esah's free kick missed everyone and ended up in the net.
Twenty minutes later they went two up in spectacular style.
A top quality finish from Hariss Harun leaving Si Thu in the Myanmar goal with no chance.
An impressive first half for the co-hosts was complete when Hariss lashed in the third.
Myanmar pulled one back 10 minutes after the break, Kyaw Zayar Win finishing off a nice move from them.
They would really start to believe five minutes later when the referee gave a penalty for this challenge on Ko Ko from Singapore's Safuwan Baharuddin.
Ko Ko got up and made it 3-2, they still had half-an-hour to complete the comeback.
But Singapore would get the next goal, Shaiful's free-kick deflected in off Myanmar captain Khin Muang Lwin.
It finished 4-2, Singapore move up to second, qualification is still in their own hands. Myanmar are bottom and need results to go their way.
