  • Intro:

Ronald Koeman's reaction after Southampton drew 1-1 at in the English Premier League on Monday 24th November.

    Script:

SOUNDBITE: (English) Ronald Koeman, Southampton manager (Q: The goal you conceded was so unlike the defending we're accustomed to?):

"Yeah it was bad, it was a misunderstanding defensively and that cost the 1-0 and then always it's more difficult, because after that, still they defended more, less attacking, to try to keep that good organisation and it was difficult for us to create opportunities about that. But finally we deserved the goal."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Ronald Koeman, Southampton manager (On goalscorer Nathaniel Clyne):

"One of his qualities is to play offensively and he has that freedom from the coach and it was an important goal because the forwards had a difficult evening tonight. It was not a lot of space and I think we missed a little bit the quality in the last pass, in the last cross in the box and ok we need a defender to score."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Ronald Koeman, Southampton manager (Q: Has the England call-up given Nathaniel Clyne more confidence to go forward and try what he tried?):

"Yeah one is more confident and two it's more quality because you play international games, you know now what that means for a player. In my opinion he's the best right full-back in the Premier League."
