SOUNDBITE: (English) Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham Hotspur manager (Q: How much did you feel you needed to change things for the second half?)

"We conceded the goal and it was difficult, very difficult. And after, Hull player very well in the first half and they pressed high (were) very aggressive on the pitch and it was difficult. We tried to change some things at half time and I'm happy because after (the break) we showed character, we showed good mentality, we were more aggressive on the pitch and this is the way that we want to take."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Steve Bruce, Hull City manager (Q: Given how your side were playing, how did you feel about the sending off?)

"Well it's hard enough to win a game with 11 men, let alone 10, and it gave all of the impetus to a Spurs side who we had played so well against in the first half. And it gave the impetus back to them and who would know what the outcome would have been with 11 (players) but I'm sure that we would have stood a better chance and, for me, the whole spectacle and the result, of course, is ruined because of that incident."

SOUNDBITE: (English) Steve Bruce, Hull City manager (Q: What did you make of the decision?)

"I know they've (referees) have got a difficult job. And I feel for them now more than ever because they have got to be seen to apply the letter of the law constantly otherwise they get marked down. But the big referees, the good ones, the really top ones have got always, even in my day, a common sense about them. They let the game go and realise that these things happen."
