Anderlecht boss Besnik Hasi was in pensive mood when his Belgian Pro League leaders travelled to Charleroi on Saturday.
Left winger Clement Tainmont stunned the reigning champions by giving Charleroi a surprise 1-0 lead. Anderlecht had plenty to think about.
Purple and Whites striker Aleksandar Mitrovic came up with the answer just two minutes later when the Serbian capitalised on right-back Guillaume François' mistake to equalise.
In first half stoppage time 35-year-old Charleroi centre-forward Cedric Faure turned back time to outjump 20-year-old centre-back Chancel Mbemba and put the hosts ahead for the second time in the match.
Less than 40 miles separates Charleroi and Brussels but now there was one goal.
In the second half Karel Geraerts crossed for Neeskens Kebano whose diving header was parried into the path of Faure who bagged his brace and wrapped up a shock 3-1 win.
