Sekou Cisse scored twice as KRC Genk beat ten-man KV Mechelen 3-0 in Belgium's Jupiler Pro League on Sunday (23rd November)

    Script:

Genk went into their Belgian Pro League fixture against Mechelen looking to extend their three point lead over the visitors.

Alex McLeish's side started the better of the two teams and they were rewarded when Timothy Castagne's cross was headed in by Sekou Cisse to make it 1-0 just three minutes before the break.

Genk doubled their lead just after the hour mark following some suspect defending by Mechelen.

The visitors failed to track Pieter Gerkens who ran into the box unattended, he was met by Herve Kage's perfect cross and headed in to make it 2-0.

Mechelen then went down to ten men when Wannes Van Tricht was shown a straight red for this challenge on Gerkens.

Substitute Van Tricht had only been on the pitch for five minutes, but his impact was immediate as his red card ensured Mechelen would not get back into the match.

That was confirmed when Genk added a third goal two minutes later - Cisse sneaking a shot on the near post to secure his second of the match and make it 3-0.
