Dynamo Kiev beat Metalurh Zaporizhzhya 4-2 in the Ukrainian Premier League on Sunday (23rd November).

    Script:

Dynamo Kiev's 4-2 home victory against Metalurh Zaporizhzhya on Sunday started with a moment of silence in homage to the late Viktor Serebryanikov, who played for both teams in his extensive career.

There was relatively little action until the 40th minute, when the goals just started flooding in. Andriy Yarmolenko opened the score after sneaking in a shot from six yards out.

Four minutes later, Metalurh retaliated, when Pavlo Pashaev's pass allowed Ruslan Platon to equalise from inside the box.

Dynamo did not wait long to restore their lead, when Vida took advantage of some shoddy Metalurh defending, to pass to Lens who displayed a thunderous run down the pitch before making it 2-1.

And six minutes after that, Younes Belhanda added another one for Dynamo, who also initiated a superb run down the right flank and found Miguel Veloso with exact precision. His shot deflected off the Metalurh defence before ending up in the back of the net.

Metalurh attempted to stage a comeback, when Orelesi took advantage of Priyomov's free kick to narrow the gap to 2-3.

But Dynamo made sure the victory was theirs to keep as they sealed the win well into stoppage time, when Lens's shot deflected off Orelesi, ended up on the other side of goalie Startsev.

Kiev are now 3 points ahead of 2nd place Dnipro.
