SOUNDBITE (English) Roberto Martinez, Everton manager:

"Well, I think it is the most satisfying win that we had this season. I think straightaway you know you've been in a game, you know that you're going to be tested. It's one of those wins that you get them through that character, that personality, that winning mentality of the squad - and that's what gives me an incredible satisfaction today."

SOUNDBITE (English) Roberto Martinez, Everton manager:
    (On Leon Osman).

"Today when the ball gets into Samuel Eto'o and he shows great vision, the last player that you would expect (to see there) is Leon Osman, and he gets into the six-yard box and he gets the winning goal in a very fitting performance, in a fitting appearance in the 400. But I think he's an incredible ambassador for our football club, but a better example for any youngster that at any age they tell you 'I don't think you'll be good enough to be a professional footballer', that you need to show grit, determination and real desire to achieve your dreams. And I thought he showed that in his performance."

SOUNDBITE (English) Sam Allardyce, West Ham United manager:

"Our finishing was not good enough on what we created and because of that we've ended up losing, and because of a referee's decision (on Romelu Lukaku's goal) that's contributed to it. So a little bit of our own fault from the fact that we didn't convert our chances and the way that we conceded the second (goal), but that decision baffled me - so we have to very frustrated and disappointed that we haven't got anything."
