Top seed and last years runner-up Gregory Gaultier marched into the semi-finals of the PSA World Squash Championship with a 3-0 win over Cameron Pilley.

The 31-year-old Frenchman has finished runner-up in the World Championship on four occasions and will be looking to go one better this year.

Two-time winner and fourth seed Ramy Ashour had to battle from two games down to overcome Spaniard Borja Golan.

Golan raced ahead when he took the opening two games 11-9, 11-7.

    But Ashour came roaring back.

Ashour was not to be denied as he won the final three games 11-6, 11-7, 11-6 and he will now face Gaultier in the semi-finals

Nick Matthew came out on top against his 35-year-old opponent, .Amr Shabana.

The 34-year-old Englishman, who is looking to become the oldest world champion, came through in straight games 11-3, 12-10, 11-7.

The 2012 runner-up Mohamed Elshorbagy is into the semi-finals after a comfortable 3-0 win over South African Stephen Coppinger

Elshorbagy became only the second man after Ramy Ashour to win the World Junior Squash Championships twice, in 2008 and 2009, and is clearly eager to win the senior crown.
