SOUNDBITE (English) Alastair Cook, England captain:

"We're really looking forward to this series, it's going to be a real test of our cricketing abilities against a tough nation here in Sri Lanka. I think it's my fourth tour here and I've had fond memories of playing in each tour. Especially in 2007 when we won that one-day series. Winning here ranks highly in my one-day career. So, I want to wish Angelo and his team all the best in this series. It was close in England and I think we owe you a little bit of revenge winning away. It's going to be a great series and I wish both sides all the best."

SOUNDBITE (English) Angelo Matthews, Sri Lanka captain:

"I think we will try and taper it down when it comes to experimenting in this England tour. We will want to have a set batting order. And also, try those two or three new faces who we have to look at and then move on from there."
