The Asian Tour is at the Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club in Philippines this week for the Manila Masters.

Fresh off his victory Sunday at the Changmai Classic in Thailand, India's Rashid Khan opened with a three-under 69.

Fellow Indian Jyoti Randhawa opened with an even par, but he had one of the shots of the day when he gets this long birdie putt to drop on fourteen.

Chinese number one Liang Wen-chong is at one-under after a 71 that was helped with this birdie saving bunker shot on eighteen.

Closer to the top, Malaysia's Danny Chia shot a 66 to share second place.

At the top of the leaderboard are Mardan Mamat of Singapore and Japan's Daisuke Kataoka.

Mamat finished strong with a birdie on eighteen for a seven-under 65.

He appeared to set to end the day in sole possession of the lead, but Daisuke Kataoka made this birdie putt on no.15 to go to six under par.

Then Kataoka adds a final birdie on eighteen for a 65 that puts him in a share of the Manila Masters lead with Mardan Mamat.
