SOUNDBITE (English) Alan Pardew, Newcastle manager:

"We've done really well and the mood in the camp is buoyant. Although we've had injuries during that winning spell, we've managed to overcome them and our young players deserve a lot of credit as do our senior guys. Everyone is playing very, very well."

SOUNDBITE (English) Alan Pardew, Newcastle manager:

"A little bit more expectation on us than in previous weeks and therefore a different type of hurdle for these younger players."

SOUNDBITE (English) Alan Pardew, Newcastle manager (on the threat posed by QPR strikers Charlie Austin and Bobby Zamora)

"They've got a good combination and I think they'll bring that to St.James' Park on Saturday and it'll be difficult for us. They've definitely improved. Harry (Redknapp) has got a good little spirit in there. Good unity in the team and I don't think they'll be down the bottom end for long. Certainly, on Saturday we hope we can beat them."
