England defeated the 'Auld Enemy' Scotland 3-1 in the world's oldest international fixture at Celtic Park in Glasgow on Tuesday (18 November).

    Script:

Scotland Vs England an old rivalry re-ignited for the 112th meeting of the nations.

The atmosphere told you there was no love lost between the two sides. It was the first meeting in Scotland since 1999.

The game's early chance fell to England's Danny Welbeck; forcing David Marshall into a good save.

The England players looked unfazed by the atmosphere at Celtic Park and they took the lead on 32 minutes.

Jack Wilshere's delightful ball was glanced past Marshall by Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to stun the home support.

England captain Wayne Rooney doubled his side's advantage two minutes into the second half, heading in after pinball inside the Scotland box.

It took until the 51st minute for Scotland to have their first effort on target.

Russell Martin forced former Celtic 'keeper Fraser Forster to tip the ball over the top.

With the game heading for a certain England win, Andrew Robertson combined down the left with substitute Russell with seven minutes remaining before firing past Forster.

Any chance of a Scotland comeback was soon ended when Adam Lallana's cut-back was dispatched by Rooney two minutes later and England went on to claim a 3-1 win.
