    There were wins for defending champion Nick Matthew, Gregory Gaultier, Ramy Ashour and Cameron Pilley in the round of 16 at the PSA World Squash Championship in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday.

    Defending champion Nick Matthew is through to the quarter-finals of the World Squash Championships in Doha. He beat India's Saurav Ghosal but said after he was guilty of thinking of the next round before this match was over. Ghosal launched a comeback but Matthew said he found his inner tiger to win 11-4, 11-5, 6-11, 11-9.

    Number one seed Gregory Gaultier is also through after he saw off Egypt's Omar Mosaad. The Frenchman came from a game down to win 10-12, 11-5, 11-9, 11-9.

    There was better news for Mosaad's fellow Egyption Ramy Ashour as he came from a game down to beat Colombia's Miguel Angel Rodriguez 9-11, 11-6, 11-5, 11-4.

    And the only match without a seeded player was between Australia's Cameron Pilley and Alister Walker of Botswana. Pilley won it 11-7, 11-6, 12-10.
