"Olympic Agenda 2020 is a road map for the future of the Olympic movement. We see some challenges ahead, we have to adapt to modern society, to the modern world, but this agenda is about addressing these issues of sustainability, credibility and youth.

"These 40 recommendations are like a jigsaw puzzle. And when you look at the full picture, then you will see that these 40 recommendations serve, first of all, to safeguard the uniqueness of the Olympic Games and to strengthen sport in society.

"Changes have to be done when you are successful. Only when you are successful are you in the driver's seat for changes and you can really drive the changes, rather than being driven to changes. We are in this position now where we had two excellent (Olympic) Games - in London, the Summer Games which were a huge success, and we had a very successful Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, so now based on this solid foundation, it's the best time for change."
