  • Intro:

Christina Kim defeated China's Shanshan Feng in a playoff to win the Lorena Ochoa Invitational on Sunday (16th November) for her first LPGA Tour title in nine years.

    Script:

The final round of the Lorena Ochoa Invitational was dominated by a battle between Shanshan Feng and Christina Kim.

Feng's chip for birdie on the 15th put her in a share of the lead with Kim.

But Kim holed a birdie of her own n the 16th to move on shot ahead.

Kim had started the day with a five shot advantage but the American missed a par putt to win on the 18th, resulting in a play-off with Feng.

Both women parred the first play-off hole but after carding 66 on the day, China's Feng's tee shot on the 18th was poor, handing the advantage back to Kim.

Feng nearly saved par but Kim was left with an easy par putt to win $US200,000.

I mean I have such a, I have a long history with Lorena (Ochoa), she's always someone that I've always admired and I've tried to emulate her the last four days and I hope I did her proud."
