    Script:

Englishman Tom Richards almost produced a stunning upset at the Squash World Championships in Doha.

He gave tenth seed Tarek Momen a scare by claiming the first set before bowing out as the Egyptian staged a comeback.

They were battling for a place in the last 16.

Momen's Egyptian team-mate Amr Shabana also had to fight back to overcome his opponent - Switzerland's Nicolas Mueller.

The fifth seed turned potential defeat into a resounding victory.

0-3 down in the fourth game, having lost the third, he only dropped one more point after that to power his way into the next round.

He's joined by defending champion Nick Matthew, who breezed into the third round after beating Gregoire Marche in straight games in just 40 minutes.

The Englishman is now potentially on course to meet new world number one Mohamed El Shorbagy in the semi-finals.
