    After almost crashing out of the tournament at the first hurdle, Gaultier rebounded to annihilate Adnan 11-4, 11-7, 11-3.

    Gaultier's seeded semi-final opponent, two-time World Champion Ramy Ashour, continued his his injury-comeback with a resounding 3-0 victory over England's Adrian Grant.

    Elsewhere Alister Walker defeated 16th seeded Frenchman Mathieu Castagnet after a heated battle lasting 74 minutes.

    Walker emerged triumphant, 3-2, in what was a thrilling and tight contest.

    12th seed Miguel Angle Rodriguez had little trouble dispatching Egypt's Zahed Mohamed, 3-0 in under an hour to clinch a second round, top half victory.

    As did Borja Golan, with the Spanish player and sixth seed getting the better of spirited qualifier Greg Lobban, 3-1 in 53 minutes.
