    Script:

The second round of the Lorena Ochoa Invitational teed off in Mexico on Friday.

Overnight leader Christina Kim held on to her one-stroke lead by firing a three-under 69. The 30-year-old American has one of the longest winless droughts on the tour -- her last victory came almost a decade ago at the Tournament of Champions.

Remaining in second place one shot further back is fellow American Paula Creamer, who finished the day with a sparkling 65 to keep her at nine-under.

Azahara Munoz of Spain is one of three players tied in third. The 26-year-old made a birdie on the 16th and carded a 71.

Also at seven-under is 17-year-old LPGA Rookie of the Year Lydia Ko after the Kiwi's 69.

Norway's Suzann Pettersen joins them at that mark after a strong day, shooting a 66.

Pornanong Phatlum is the last player to occupy third spot following the Thai golfer's round of 68.
