  • Intro:

Ernie Els hoped to inspire the South African rugby team as they trained at Twickenham in London on the eve of their clash with England.

    Script:

A loose head in a packed scrum.

SOUNDBITE: (English) Ernie Els, Four-time Major winner:

"They asked me to hand out the official match jerseys. With that comes a little bit of a talk. We had a nice talk - a little serious at times. Very jokingly a lot of the times. So, it was a nice loose chat."

He's called the Big Easy for his imposing stature.

But here the South African rugby team and Ernie Els see eye to eye.

Their common goal - a Springboks win over England at Twickenham on Saturday.

SOUNDBITE: Ernie Els, Four-time Major winner:

"They seem ready. They seem like they have prepared well during the week. In any sport, you are going to have a lot of ups and a lot of downs and you have got to come back from when you are down. It's going to be tough. Because they are playing one hell of a great side."

The four-time golf major winner is enroute to Dubai for the European Tour's season finale.

Like the Springboks, he wants 2015 to be a year to remember.

SOUNDBITE: Ernie Els, Four-time Major winner:

"I want to try and do some special things next year."

    Q. Another Major perhaps?

"That's on the radar. We have got a lot of work to do. We've got some great players. "
