Intro:
Police officers from Brazil and France practiced security drills at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday (12th November) ahead of the 2016 Olympic Games.

SOUNDBITE: (French) Commissioner Antoine Boutonnet, Director of French Interior Ministry's National Division of fight against hooliganism:
"We have more private security forces for sporting events. But obviously our statutory powers allow us the power to take in for questioning those who commit offences. The fact we're wearing these clothes gives off a low-profile image of policing a sporting event. That's to say an image of not being violent but, rather, pleasant, to be able to work in completely correct manner in the stands and equal on the field of play, because we also have a role in protecting players and the referee."
SOUNDBITE: (French) Commissioner Antoine Boutonnet, Director of French Interior Ministry's National Division of fight against hooliganism:
"We are equipped with cameras. So in this exercise that we were doing with our Brazilian colleagues, there was somebody who was holding a mini-cam and filming the person who committed the offence - which is proof for the judicial authorities - but equally it's filming our own intervention. Because if any criticism is submitted we can send what we've filmed and show that we've acted in a professional and completely correct way and that our actions are above criticism. "
