Nishikori beats Murray

Monday, November 10 2014 by SNTV
  • Intro:

Kei Nishikori beat Andy Murray in straight sets in the first match of the ATP Tour Finals in London.

    Script:

Andy Murray fought so hard to reach these finals but they haven't started anything like as he would've wanted. He broke Japan's Kei Nishikori in their opening set but the US Open finalist hit back immediately, this rally happened in the next game, eventually it went to Nishikori.

He was clearly growing in confidence and went on to take the first set 6-4.

He stepped up the pressure to go three-love up in the next set, Murray tried to show more aggression but Nishikori was just too good. Britain's number one did claw himself back into the match winning four games but perhaps playing six succesive weeks has taken its toll. Nishikori wins 6-4, 6-4.
