"Happy - but got a lot of work to do. Got a lot of great players snapping at my heels and looking forward to getting out there tomorrow with Bubba and Ian, two great friends and two great players. Two good days work really. Yesterday I hit it well, I was pretty clinical off the tee and today I wasn't so clinical off the tee but I was pretty clinical in and around the greens today and I think that the common theme the last two days has been a hot putter and I've just got to maintain that going into the weekend - see if I can have a chance to win."

SOUNDBITE: (English), Ian Poulter:

"Best round I've played all year so really very happy. Assessing the early part of the round, birdie at two which was nice but to be honest we are always looking at the shots you didn't convert and they were very easy birdie putts on the first three holes which I didn't make on four of the first five. I really should have been five under through five - but I am happy. Everything is working, the putter is starting to warm up but the equipment is great, I'm playing nicely, giving myself chances and obviously very happy with that."

"That was nice. It was struggle - hit some good shots and couldn't make some putts and then hit some bad shots and made some putts. Then to finish that strong with the par five, which I think you should birdie, and then a tough hole - was it that fifteen? Made a good birdie there but the shorter hole made a birdie and then seventeen, any time you make a birdie there it is like stealing. Then a par five eighteen I got lucky, hit a good chip - yeah, it was a great finish, great round of golf or a great last five holes I guess you'd say."
