Intro:
Nicolas Colsaerts carded an eight-under par 64 to go top of the leader board midway through the BMW Masters in Shanghai on Friday.
Script:
On another grey and overcast day in Shanghai the BMW Masters continued with round 2, and with no wind in the air and a soft course many took advantage of the ideal scoring conditions.
Ernie Els continued his good run of recent form. The South African carding a 4-under 68 on Friday to sit 7 shots off the lead at 7-under.
Justin Rose struggled with his swing yesterday, but a different story here today. Rose joins Els at 7-under after a 65. He came in with 6 birdies and an eagle.
Jamie Donaldson is one better off after consecutive 4-under 68's. This, the Ryder Cup heroes approach at the par-4, 18th to set up his final birdie of the round. He's at 8-under.
As is Graeme McDowell. His iron play was immaculate during his round of 3-under-par. This his second at the par-4, 10th. McDowell had 5 birdies but two blemishes on his card as he sits 6 shots back of the lead.
It was a day to remember for Thomas Bjorn, he was 4-over after three, but after that he made 9 birdies, including this chip in at the last. A 67 for Bjorn to put him at 9-under.
Overnight leader Alexander Levy now sits in second place just one shot off the lead. Levy had seven birdies and just a single bogey on his way to 13-under for the tournament.
Belgium's Nicolas Colsaerts replaces Levy at the top of the leader board with an impressive scorecard of 64 - eight strokes under par.
Colsaerts is now 14-under-par for the tournament, one ahead of Levy.
